The long-awaited album is finally here! Justin Timberlake’s album is OUT!! His singles “Suit and Tie” and “Mirrors” have been on the Top 100 Singles on iTunes since they came out. This album has been on the number ONE spot since the release date.
This is his first album since Future Sex/Love Sounds was released in 2006. The 20/20 Experience has a different feel than his past albums. His sound has a soulful, falsetto voice mixed with a classic 70’s bluesy feel. I’m really digging it.
All his songs have a unique sound to them. Justin went from pop music to a classic Motown feel mixed with a little bit of modernism. You all know what “Mirrors” and “Suit and Tie” sound like. Here are some interpretations of what I think: “That Girl” and “Strawberry Bubblegum” have a mellow beat to them. “Spaceship Coupe” has a seductive beat to it. I really like “Pusher Love Girl” because in the beginning it starts with 70’s romantic beat that reminds me of classical old movies. “Let the Groove In” has a tribal feel and I could see this playing in a modern-salsa club. “Don’t Hold the Wall” reminds me of his older music especially with his voice. “Tunnel Vision” has a unique sound because it mixes violins with echoes and it actually goes well together. “Blue Ocean Floor” has a unique sound and I could see myself listening to this on a rainy day. Some people didn’t like that his songs were 7-10 minutes long but I like it because many artists don’t do that.
If you want to hear a new, refreshing sound from a well-know artist, listen to “The 20/20 Experience!”
